From time to time we all find ourselves in the midst of a personal or family crisis, such as the death of a loved one, or a serious injury or accident. At those times many welcome a pastor coming alongside to pray and encourage them during the crisis.

In Care and Connection we're committed to seeing that each individual at NEBC experiences the love of Christ through the body of Christ in order to walk more closely with Christ.

Care Ministries

  • Biblical Guidance - We have trained caregivers who are equipped to help you understand God's wisdom from the Scriptures as it applies to your specific problem or conflict. If you are going through spiritual, personal, marital, or family struggles please contact NEBC at 651-5462.

  • Hospital/shut-in Visitation - When physical illness, surgery, or disability comes we would like to be there to support you in prayer and assist in practical ways.

  • Funerals - Our pastors are on-call to come alongside you when you lose a loved one in death. You can reach a pastor by calling 210-393-3349.

  • Helping Hands - Need hands or help? We have men ready to assist you in a number of practical ways. Contact the church office.

  • Weddings - Our auditorium is available to our members for weddings. Contact Carol Fray for policies and procedures.

Connection Ministries

  • Dinners for 8 - Looking for a way to get to know people at NEBC? Here's your opportunity. Dinners for 8 are groups of 8 people who meet for dinner once a month for four months simply to connect in a casual social setting. Dinners for 8 are open to anyone attending NEBC.

  • Newcomer/Membership Orientation - Everyone is invited to attend orientation to learn more about NEBC and how to become a member of our church. Contact Carol Fray in the church office to find out more about how to register for our next class.

  • Baptism - We practice believer baptism by immersion. If you've never yet taken this important step in your walk with Christ we encourage you to do so. Baptisms are regularly held at a local swimming pool.

  • Left Behind but Not Forgotten - All widows and widowers are invited to lunch, a short devotional, and a time of fellowship each month. Contact Carol Anne Mabson for more information.
